This is such a good video. I'm just starting and I don't have too many issues with balance but I really don't feel comfortable nor confident on the board at all, I'm sure all this will help a lot!

I hate that I can't go practice this right now.

Ironically I'm left footed and can balance better with it but I skate goofy.

Your foot placement diagrams, and the way you made this tutorial in general, sets the standard for skateboarding tutorials IMO. The video isn't unnecessarily long either.

I rlly realized the impact of your environment when I went to California too. When I skated an average skatepark there, it was so much more advanced than what I was used to so I looked like a total beginner tho I wasn’t. It just goes to show that the average skater who grew up and skated in California is probably better than the average skater in my state because California is so skate friendly (obvs since skateboarding was invented there). It made me realize that I gotta skate more diverse parks and street spots and even though our parks aren’t as advanced, I’m hoping by diversifying the environments in which I skate, it will help me progress more!

Sarah’s approach to skateboarding is very Karate….skating in essence is very martial arts and Sarah is a black belt, in my opinion

When Sarah says an 8.25 is a huge board, it’s kind of funny because I started skating in the mid 1980s and for me, gigantic fish tail 10” wide old school boards are my favorite….I literally hate popsicle shapes. I like going fast on big ramps with big wheels!

Sarah is one of my favorite skaters because you can just tell that she really has a love of skateboarding, she skates because she loves to skate

Youre legit such a fantastic teacher. Props. Maybe its your level of experience but if i dont wear like full pads doing freestyle i fall like 100s of times. I'll fall a few times skating street in general. Freestyle i get completely murdered. I think people can tend to make it look WAY easier than it actually is, and ITS ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Thank you for the tutorial, after practicing caspers today, this makes a lot of sense. I landed 2 today, but this will definitely help me land them more consistently!
